Side guards, also known as Lateral Protective Devices (LPDs), provide an additional protection barrier in the event of a side collision by blocking the open space in front of the truck's rear wheels. This Universal Side Guard meets VOLPE recommended standards and installs quickly and easily without the need for welding or fabrication. The pin locking system removes in seconds for temporary access to the undercarriage.
