This High Quality Coolant Tank Cap is designed to allow for pressure to build to a certain level and ensures it is released appropriately. Tested to ensure better performance, reliability and durability. Unfortunately, A common issue when buying Coolant Caps is that some competitors don't value the importance of the system. Too much pressure will exceed the manufacturer’s specifications for the cooling system, and could cause the cooling system component to fail leaving a big bill to handle. Too little pressure could cause the coolant to boil off. With little or no liquid around to cool the vehicle, ultimately leaving the engine to overheat. Choosing the right coolant cap from Raney's is a step in the right direction. We've got you covered with the highest quality, premium grade cooling caps on the market.
Helpful Tip:
For Safety, Wait until your engine has cooled down completely before opening the cap, or simply check the coolant level before turning on your engine. If you can see coolant in the radiator, and it's near the top (approaching the cap spout) then you don't need to add any additional antifreeze. The seal should be inspected for damage as the heat cycling could cause the seal to harden the rubber.
